Anteater was an short-lived awesome five piece screamo band hailing from germany around 2013/2014 - members later went on to play in Thurm. We had the pleasure to welcome them back in the days at the first MTS festival - you can see the gig here.

Ma Catharsis Et La Mort

Ma Catharsis Et La Mort was a short-lived epic (post) screamo band from Puerto Rico. In 2012 they released with "Extended Pain" one of the best records of the year. After that unfortunately only one split with Kitsch and one sampler contribution followed (My Endless Minutes I). Astoundingly great band.

King's Girls

King's Girls were a four piece screamo/violence band from halifax, nova scotia / canada. Unfortunately they only recorded two releases - I think "Numbers" from 2013 made to the top of my end of the year list. They made unbelievable impressive short screamo songs. Gosh I miss them.

Gone With The Pain

Gone With The Pain was a spanish screamo band - and one of my favs ever. Members later played in Toundra and Trono de Sangre. They released one album, one ep and two splits (Optimus Prime & Under The Waves / Reaction-Reaction!).

Short-lived five piece screamo punk band from Stavanger, Norway. Got reminded of them because I found a split tape with Aske (released on great listen to ailyn records) in my collection. Pretty awesome stuff.

Petethepiratesquid

 

Petethepiratesquid was a four piece screamo/post-hardcore band from berlin. They released 9 records including some splits, inter alia with Dodewaard, Kias Fansuri, Shokei or Radio Burroughs. Great and important for the scene here.

Members played also in it.is.imperative, The Dropout Patrol, Ex Best Friends, and Magic Of The Rainbow.

Weak Wrists

Weak Wrists were a heavy five piece screamo/violence band hailing from North Carolina. The demo (available as download below) was already intense and ridiculously good - two years after, in 2016, the band released with their self-titled a milestone.

Dream Caste

Dream Caste was a short-lived (2013 - 2014) four piece screamo band with members of Heritage Unit, Ten Thousand Leagues and Winter Break from California. Their only release "A Calmer Room" is a very emotional and intense blend of screamo, emo and punk.

A City Sorrow Built

 

Great three piece diy screamo/post-rock band from Ubud, Indonesia. Name is a reference to a The National song. Released one of their records - a split with Maskros, Kaji, Astrid and This Too Will Pass. Love them - check out if you dig Amukredam, daighila, Sjanse etc.

All My Wishes Were Thrown Down a Well and Should Die There were an A++ four piece screamo band from Cali. They put out six releases from October of 2014 till October of 2015. Loved the name, the tunes, the artworks - everything fitted. They were damn amazing.

Omare

Omare were a very short-lived screamo band from germany. Dark, utterly heavy - and actually one best material that come out of the scene from here in the last years. incredible stuff.

Omayra Sanchez was a harsh/raw noisey screamo band from Valdivia, Chile. Super good.
