Vientre are finally back - after their praised LP "Estado de Imago" and several splits in 2021 and 2022.
Stoked to present you now a new single/video called "Fiel de Fechos" - a screamo heavy-hitter, so intense and with the best of what the genre has to over in just under 2 minutes.
The band from Colombia keeps on going and has couple more singles in the pipeline for the beginning of next year and is also working on a new split with Naivete (Mexico) that will be released at the end of December. I literally can't wait to hear it.
Additionally theirs also a new screamo compilation with bands like DIM, Saton (Mexico) and Massa Nera (USA) and them in the making.
Catch the band on their tour in Colombia soon and they are planning a US tour for 2024.
Ruina are a new four piece screamo/post-hardcore band from Lleida, Catalunya/Spain. They gonna soon release their debut EP "Abismo Floral" - stoked to present you the first video/single called "Pequeña Flor". ✨
Hyped to present you the new single/video from Jornada Del Muerto of their new upcoming record. If you are following the blog you might already heard the band before because the opened the "Miss The Stars Screamo Sampler IX" back in 2021. Now they are back with new stuff and it sounds incredible.
The crushing blackened screamo four piece is hailing from İstanbul and features members of beloved Burn Her Letters, ria, pembe, Noisy Sins Of The Insect, Slave Training and The Ousted - so it basically reads more like a screamo/diy punk super-group.
"Pinturas Negras" the new album is gonna be a 14 songs powerhouse dedicated to Goya’s “Black Paintings” in lyrical and musical ways.
"Sabbath" is now the first output and it comes with an intense animation video and one hell of a track. Can't wait for the full album release in november. Make sure to check it out.
Take also a look at the updates by all the awesome involved labels: Mevzu Records, No Heroes Records, Dead Red Queen Records, Fresh Outbreak Records, Friendly Otter, 5 Feet Under Records, Dingleberry Records, Pumpkin Records, Salto Mortale, Seitan’s Hell Bike Punks, No Funeral Records and Tenzenmen Records.
Get ready for a new emotional heavy-weight from California. I'm so beyond hyped to premiere the first song of the debut EP by five piece post-hardcore/screamo outfit Drought (members of Obsolete Man, Plush Palace, and ex-Caulfield).
"Oh, Javelin!" sounds so powerful and moving - somewhere between maybe PBTT, La Dispute and In The Wake of Giants. It got everything from post-hardcore/rock, screamo, emocore, punk - and has such an incredible built-up and gut-wrenching lyrics. It's deep, it's long - and damn brilliant. I literally can't wait to the hear the two other songs from the EP - which is gonna be released on June 23rd, 2023.
They also gonna play some shows around then - if you are in that area, make sure to catch them.
"Are we so temporary just taking what we carry - With every thread a different hue - But stitched together, they disappear - Fading in and out of view - Wake up! Wake up! - I can't recall the sun as every day continues dimming - The years keep passing by unspooling on a further line - Unafraid and just beginning"
If you follow this blog for a while the next band will sound familiar to you - BARABBAS, DU FÖRTAPPADE. One of europe's finest screamo bands is back.
But let's revert a bit - BARABBAS, DU FÖRTAPPADE are a four piece violent screamo band from Stockholm, Sweden and they are active since around 2017 with their debut release "Discourse". 2020 Barabbas released a brilliant split with the ever-awesome Кальк - and now finally we'll get new songs in the form of "Discussions on Existentialism". The record is a heavy journey in three languages dealing with topic like alienation in cities of capitalism, death, political apathy and exhausting communications and relationships - all packed in powerful, raw and massive blend of screamo, hardcore and emoviolence.
The Vinyl will be out on vinyl on the 27th of January via Dingleberry records and distribution (DE), No Heroes Records, Jean Scene Creamers (US), Entes Anomicos (DE), Fresh Outbreak Records (IT), PASIDARYK PATS records (LT) and Salto Mortale Music (SK).
Everything was recorded at Hermitage Studios in Stockholm, Sweden during December 2021. It was mixed and mastered by Steve Roche at Permanent Hearing Damage studio (Off Minor, Neil Perry, Massa Nera, Capacities) and the amazing artwork and design was made by Alex Mages.
Immensely happy to present you this stunning and intense live session by french-based screamo project Gros Enfant Mort for the song "17/10".
After the debut s/t record in 2019 - which was amazing already - I'm so glad Gros Enfant Mort is back.
The live session has been recorded between two shows this summer during a tour. The song is taken from the album "La banalité du mal" which came out a few days ago - check it out here.
Lovely labels Fireflies Fall (FR), Deux Pieds Deux Dents (FR), Dingleberry Records (DE), Clever Eagle (USA), Non Ti Seguo (IT), Desperate Infant (HK), Sounds Like Sunday (ES), Salto Mortale (SK), and Callous Records (UK) released it.
Heavily excited to present you the stunning single "Sturm" by brand new black metal/blackgaze/post-metal/shoegaze outfit Nessel from Stuttgart/Germany.
Nessel is a five piece band with ex-/members of Knife Eyes, Mahlstrom, Thurm and Archivist - of which all are/were great. If you are familiar with them already you probably can get good image of how Nessel sounds - beautiful, massive and post-gaze-everything - in the best way possible.
“Sturm“ is the second output out of the upcoming record "Gestalt" and denounces the post-factual way of thinking and laments the loss of people to a web of lies. “In Sturm I have processed a theme that has unfortunately accompanied me throughout the pandemic: I lost several people to the Querdenker scene [self-proclaimed lateral thinkers during the pandemic in Germany]. In the lyrics, I process my unsuccessful attempts to convince them with facts, arguments and discussions,” explains the singer.
Their debut full-length "Gestalt" is gonna be released via I.Corrupt.Records & Through Love Records in Germany - Fireflies Fall in France and Clever Eagle Records in the US on vinyl on the 9th of September.
There will also be a limited Tape available via Natural Resources from Hamburg which you can see down below.
Nessel really did an amazing job on every single level - the music is top-notch, the artworks/ pictures/videos etc are aesthetic as hell and the labels involved are A+++.
Honestly so stoked about this music video premiere for "The Shape of Harm" by Blind Girls from their new record "The Weight of Everything". Blind Girls are a five piece screamo band from Australia and one of the best to ever to it. Band is killing it for years and years - and the music is all in all beyond.
Screamo needs more music videos in general I think - so this is just really really awesome.
Listen to the whole record here (Zegema Beach Records, Life Lair Regret, Left Hand Label).
